Carol Jones, MBA
Carol Jones joined Urban Wealth Management as a summer intern in 2018 and is now the Financial Planning Apprentice assisting the UWM team. She provides invaluable research, event planning, marketing support and insight to UWM and has plans to pursue a career in financial planning. Her interest in financial planning stems from struggles she experienced in helping her family with everything from budgeting to retirement. She is a member of the Association of African American Financial Advisors (Quad-A). She was recently selected as an honoree of the 2019 Your Turn Intern “30 Under 30” Most Powerful Interns. In addition to her role at UWM, Carol also manages the dance department at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and has worked over 8 years at LMU. Carol is a first-generation college graduate who transferred from Cerritos College to LMU to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance in 2010 and her MBA in management at Hope International University (HIU) in 2017. She has a heart for empowering women to fulfill their dreams from spiritual, academic to financial and she serves and mentors youth at her church and transfer students from her alma mater, Cerritos College. Carol’s hobbies include reading, writing, traveling and spending time with family.
