Elder care is a team effort! If you're caring for aging loved ones, you can sometimes feel isolated. However, there are programs and services to draw on for support, information, and to learn from others who have been through the same experiences. By the same token, one of the best things you can do for your own family and future caregivers is to make careful and thorough long‑term financial and practical plans. Communicating openly and sharing the decision-making load will help ensure that your desires are clearly spelled out and that your support team is well equipped. Loli Ramezani is an experienced Certified Senior Advisor and President of Always Best Care—Beach Cities/Los Angeles. She talks here with Derenda King about the many resources that are available to support elder care, as well as questions for you to anticipate in making long-term future plans.
