Urban Wealth Management welcomes Melanie Perry, CFP® to the firm as a Financial Planner. Melanie brings with her more than two decades of experience as a financial advisor, as well as a passion for financial education. She understands the life-changing potential of financial literacy and has spent more than a decade developing new ways to empower people about their finances.

Melanie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from the University California at San Diego before starting her career as a financial professional. An enthusiastic advocate for empowering people to understand money and wealth, she has organized and conducted seminars and workshops across the nation, appeared as a conference panelist on the topic, and hosted her own radio show on KPFK (Pacifica Radio – Los Angeles). Melanie is the author of All About the Benjamins: Helping People Create Wealth in the Midst of Financial Insanity and a children’s book called Johnathan and Geneva: The Adventures of Zeallionaire Kids and has created financial education curricula for summer camps and collegiate programs. Melanie’s service to the community has been recognized by the Los Angeles Women’s Chapter of the NAACP, the National Council of Negro Women, and Women’s Missionary Society of First AME Church Los Angeles.
